anne-charlotte ayari-rouleau : inspiration

What interests me in painting - and in art - is the delineation of a theme to infinity using colors and motifs. That's what I like about Mark Rothko, Claude Viallat and Helen Frankenthaler: their style is 'straight-forward' and belongs to them only. By playing around solely with the repetition of a single theme, whereby what changes is only the colors and their relation to one another, they succeed in imposing a wide range of emotions on the spectator, without ever changing atmospheres. It is in this particularity of theirs that I find my main inspiration, which channels and therefore reinforces my creativity. If each painting is unique, then seen all together, they still look to have sprung from the same fount. Pararadoxical, maybe, but fascinating nonetheless.
