Hispanic Matricula Consular Card

The vote to preserve the Matricula Consular Card was taken late last night and the "Oxley-Frank-Kolbe-Hinojosa Motion to Strike Prevailed 221-177." This means that US Hispanics won and the Culberson amendment was defeated!

Much of this was accomplished thanks to the Hispanic Alliance for Progress Institute. Check out the web site to continue to receive information and stay involved in efforts to strengthen the Hispanic Community through legislative and civic action on issues.
